Valuing inclusion, creativity, and growth, Swallow Hill Music is a nonprofit that hosts three intimate listening rooms at its location based out of Denver, Colorado. Providing a space for open mics, hootenannys, music school performances, and acoustic tribute performances, they are invested in Denver area music5.In addition they are host to a summer concert series at Denver Botanic Gardens and Four Mile Historic Park.1 With community building at its heart, Swallow Hill does much more than host venues.

Winers of the 2022’s Folk Alliance International’s Business Lifetime Achievement Award,2 Swallow Hill also provides a music school, music therapy, and community outreach. Their music school is the second largest acoustic music in the country according to their website, with lessons available both in-person and online.1 The Music Therapy program “is facilitated by Board Certified Music Therapists, who use evidence-based music programming and interventions at Swallow Hill and across Denver to support specific physical, emotional, cognitive or social needs.”3 The music therapy program caters to the elderly, veterans, and those with developmental or mental health challenges. Their community outreach is achieved through their early childhood education music program called Little Swallows introducing three and four year olds to music through fun age appropriate activities.
